About The Role
JN Bentley offers apprentices the opportunity to gain valuable experience and develop key skills that will help you pursue a career in the construction industry.
What You’ll Do
* Gain experience working on live construction projects.
* Work alongside the Site Manager and Site Engineer, understanding full site operations from set‑up through commissioning, handover and completion.
* Set out line & level of structures and pipework in line with construction drawings using a variety of surveying equipment (GPS, total station, dumpy level, pipe laser).
* Carry out required quality assurance and complete ITRs (Inspection and Test Records) in line with company procedures.
* Assist the Site Manager & Site Engineer with supervising safety, health & environment on site in line with company standards and procedures.
* Assist the Site Manager & Site Engineer with the day‑to‑day running of the site and learn how to requisition materials and plant and process delivery tickets.
* Produce as‑built surveys and records.
What You’ll Need
* 5 GCSEs, including grade 4 in English and Maths.
* 1‑2 A Levels or equivalent (BTEC/T Level) in a relevant subject.
* A valid driving licence is essential.
* Ability to work professionally as part of a team.
* Effective analytical and problem determination skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work on own initiative, to deadlines and under pressure.
* Accuracy and attention to detail.
* Willingness and flexibility to travel to sites across your operational region.
