Position
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Macmillan Advanced Clinical Nurse – Breast within our Cancer Services Department based at University Hospital Crosshouse.
Hours and Shift Pattern
18 hours per week – days to suit service/preferred candidate. This post is offered on a permanent basis.
What You Will Do
* The ACNS provides holistic care and support to patients and their families with breast cancers.
* Specialist nursing advice and care is provided throughout the patient pathway (including diagnosis, surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and end of life).
* The ACNS acts as a key worker as well as a core member of the multidisciplinary team.
* This is an exciting development opportunity for a nurse who seeks to further develop their skills, experience and career.
Knowledge, Training and/or Experience Required
* Registered nurse with considerable cancer experience.
* Relevant post‑graduate diploma or equivalent experience.
* Advanced clinical decision making and communication skills.
* Passion for quality improvement.
Full UK Driving Licence / Access To a Vehicle
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential to this role.
