Position: Year 1 Class Teacher
Location: Hockley
Salary: £125 - £240 per day (£24,375 - £46,800), depending on experience and qualifications!
Contract Type: Full-time (part-time options available)
Start Date: September 2025 (or earlier if available)
Key Responsibilities:
* Curriculum Planning & Delivery: As a Year 1 Class Teacher, Develop and deliver engaging lessons that align with the KS1 curriculum and encourage active participation.
* Inclusive Teaching: Adapt your teaching to meet the needs of all learners, ensuring every child is supported and challenged appropriately.
* Classroom Environment: Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating space where pupils feel confident and motivated to learn.
* Assessment & Feedback: As a Year 1 Class Teacher, monitor student progress using a range of assessment tools and provide constructive feedback to support development.
* Team Collaboration: As a Year 1 Class Teacher, work closely with colleagues to plan lessons, share ideas, and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
* Parental Engagement: Build strong relationships with parents and carers through regular communication and involvement in their child’s learning.
Skills & Qualifications:
* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and has experience teaching in Key Stage 1 as a Year 1 Class Teacher
* Has a strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and assessment strategies
* Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Brings creativity, enthusiasm, and a reflective approach to teaching
* Works well as part of a team and contributes positively to school life
