Our client is a well-established air conditioning and HVAC contractor with over 33 years in the industry. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking a skilled HVAC Controls Engineer to join the team. The role involves the installation, wiring, and commissioning of HVAC systems, control panels, and field devices across commercial and industrial sites.Package Includes:OTE £50,000 depending on experienceMinimum 40 hours per week guaranteedPaid travel time (door-to-door)Company van, Tools, iPhone, and uniform provided20 days holiday plus bank holidaysGenerous overtime and standby ratesOngoing training and development opportunities Key Responsibilities:Install and wire HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, ventilation systems, and associated controlsTerminate and test control panels and field devices (fans, dampers, actuators, sensors)Pre-commission and fully commission HVAC control systems (training provided as needed)Assist with BMS-related tasks, including sensor wiring and basic configurationPerform fault-finding, functional testing, and drop testing of dampersInterpret and work from electrical schematics and technical drawingsIdentify energy-saving opportunities and improvements in control strategiesRespond to service callouts and carry out effective fault diagnosis and repairCollaborate with project managers and site teams to ensure smooth project deliverySubmit accurate job reports and related documentationParticipate in a 3-to-4-week rotational 24-hour emergency standby rota Requirements:18th Edition Wiring Regulations (or equivalent hands-on experience)NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical InstallationCity & Guilds Test & Inspection certificationProven background in HVAC or controls wiring installationsStrong diagnostic and fault-finding skillsAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics and control panel layoutsFull, clean UK driving licenceValid CSCS/ECS cardExperience with commissioning and/or BMS platforms beneficial (training can be provided)Familiarity with HVAC control principles and energy-efficient systems To apply:Submit your CV via CV-Library today or call Julia @ Prime Appointments to find out more
