We're looking for a dynamic, experienced, and patient-focused Ecommerce Director to lead the next phase of our digital growth. This is an exciting leadership opportunity to drive commercial growth, innovation, shape our strategic roadmap, and continue delivering exceptional online experiences for our patients. This role oversees:
Digital Commercial Leadership
* Owns ecommerce commercial KPIs (Traffic, conversion, AOV, revenue, New customers volume) that deliver commercial growth
* Develops annual digital commercial plans—including revenue targets, KPIs, and investment priorities. Optimises product, pricing, promotion strategy.
* Leads forecasting, website trading performance, and weekly performance cadence.
* Engages with the senior leadership team and P&L leads to align on priorities, timelines, approvals, and investment decisions.
Website & Conversion Growth
* Sets the roadmap for site UX, UI, functionality, and performance.
* Oversees CRO programmes, A/B testing, funnel optimisation and onsite search
* Overseas NPD set up, website merchandising and pricing/promotion set-up and execution
* Drives improvements in load speed, accessibility, navigation, and mobile experience.
Customer Experience & Journey Management
* Ensures seamless digital journeys from acquisition to checkout to post purchase.
* Partners with marketing, commercial, customer service and operations to reduce friction and improve NPS/CSAT.
* Champions personalisation and leads the strategy definition and implementation across web and app
Digital Marketing Collaboration
* Leads the performance marketing team, optimising existing paid channels and testing new channels
* Leads the SEO strategy definition and execution across content, technical and outreach
* Ensures traffic acquisition programmes (SEO, PPC, Affiliates, Social, Display) are ROI optimised.
* Aligns trading calendars with campaign and brand activity.
Technology & Data Strategy
* Owns the ecommerce platform roadmap and marketing technology (Big Commerce, Content Square, Google Analytics etc.).
* Partners with technology teams/agencies on upgrades, integrations, and performance optimisation, in particular Google 360 implementation and effectiveness
* Champions data driven decision making using analytics, BI dashboards, experimentation and insight.
Operational Excellence
* Oversees digital merchandising, website content production, website search strategy, and product data integrity.
* Works with commercial and operations team to ensure stock availability, delivery propositions, and fulfilment quality are competitive.
* Ensures compliance, governance, security, and GDPR standards across ecommerce operations.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
* Leads and coaches a multidisciplinary ecommerce team (performance marketing, trading, UX, content, merchandising) cultivating an innovative and collaborative culture of excellence.
* Works cross functionally with Marketing, Technology, Product, Finance, and Operations.
* Presents strategy and performance updates to executive leadership
Requirements
* Proven experience in a senior eCommerce leadership role, ideally within a D2C, retail, travel or digital services environment.
* Strong understanding of eCommerce platforms, customer journeys, and conversion strategies.
* Hands-on experience in UX/UI best practices, CRO, SEO, and site personalisation.
* Proficient with web analytics tools (e.g. GA360, Tag Manager, CRO and personalisation) and eCommerce KPIs.
* Proven experience in leading ecommerce product function, from strategy to execution, generating business value from roadmaps
* Commercially driven, data-literate, and patient-focused with a passion for digital innovation.
* Personable and collaborative with proven stakeholder management and leadership skills.
