Tesco Colleague - Newmarket Extra
Rate of pay: starts from £12.45 per hour; increases to £13.66 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location.
Hours: It is Tesco policy to offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week. If you would like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12), we have opportunities and would love to hear from you.
The availability windows show the periods of time in the week we would like you to be available to work. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times, and you will have 3 weeks notice of exactly when your shifts will be. We are happy to support flexibility for our colleagues, so if your available times closely match but are not exact, we would still love to hear from you. Role responsibilities
* Know your customers and serve them with passion and pride; provide great natural service.
* Be knowledgeable about the products and services in the store.
* Work across the store in service, picking and replenishment areas where required.
* Apply training to work safely, effectively and deliver excellent customer service.
* Make decisions that are right for customers and deliver routines that meet customer needs.
* Participate in seasonal, community and charity events to create a welcoming atmosphere.
* Understand store performance and contribute to driving service and sales, reducing waste and delivering profit.
* Handle products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in good condition.
* Be yourself, live Tesco values, and follow policies.
* May be required to accept deliveries into the store.
