A reputable organisation based in Newport is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join their team on a 10-month temporary assignment, with the potential for extension.This role offers excellent flexibility, with remote working available following an initial 2-week on-site training period, as well as the benefit of on-site parking.Key Responsibilities
1. Processing end-to-end payroll on a regular basis
2. Ensuring payroll is accurate andpliant with current legislation
3. Managing starters, leavers, and employee changes
4. Handling payroll queries from employees in a timely manner
5. Calculating statutory payments (SSP, SMP, etc.)
6. Maintaining payroll records and ensuring data integrity
7. Liaising with HMRC and pension providers where required
About You
8. Previous payroll experience (essential)
9. Strong knowledge of payroll processes and legislation
10. High level of accuracy and attention to detail
11. Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise workload
12. Confidentmunicator with good problem-solving skills
13. Experience using payroll systems and Excel
