Job Description
We are working with a local Northampton school to support them in finding an SEN teacher for their small SEN unit. The children are mainly KS1 ages and the number of children in the class is limited to 8. We are looking for someone who can work successfully as part of a team to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
The school would like someone who is experienced in a range of different additional needs and who is looking for a new challenge. The role is full time and can either be with the responsibility of planning or without and is to run until the end of the academic year.
We are looking for someone who:
- holds QTS
- has SEN experience teaching in KS1
- a strong understanding of the national curriculum and how to adapt it to meet the needs of different learning styles
- has a DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one)
- wants to make a difference in the education of our younger students
- is flexible, dedicated and passionate
