£27,320 per annum (plus 1 contracted sleep-in a week at £78.30). Permanent, full-time 37.5 hours per week. Barnet. Welcome to Leecroft House as a Recovery Worker. Our 24 hour Supported Housing service in Barnet is looking for someone like you to support the people who use our services to maintain their tenancy and independence in the community.
We are committed to putting service users at the heart of everything we do. We recognise they should be involved in decisions that affect their future, and we need you to inspire and support them to lead their own recovery. You will help with personalised planning, skill development and community access, while maintaining accurate records and liaising with external partners.
Responsibilities
* Support the people who use our services to maintain their tenancy and independence in the community.
* Inspire and support individuals to contribute to a personal support plan that reflects their goals and aspirations.
* Develop domestic and finance management skills and assist with access to work, leisure or educational opportunities.
* Enter accurate case notes onto our IT system and keep records up to date.
* Liaise with GP surgeries, the local council, charities and other partners; promote the service within the community.
Qualifications and Experience
* No relevant experience is required as full training will be provided.
* Candidates with understanding of mental health issues and/or lived experience are welcomed.
* Care, compassion, empathy and enthusiasm for helping others are important.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team; willing to be on a weekly rota and available for on-call duties.
