The Role
A high-volume payroll position supporting weekly payroll operations within a large organisation.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance and supporting payroll queries.
Key Responsibilities
* Process starters, leavers, and payroll changes
* Support weekly payroll processing for a large workforce
* Calculate statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP, pensions)
* Issue P45s, P60s, and manage RTI submissions
* Reconcile payroll and wages accounts
* Handle payroll queries and liaise with HMRC
* Prepare auto-enrolment reports and pension uploads
* Maintain accurate records and support audit requirements
The Ideal Candidate
* Previous experience in a high-volume payroll environment
* Good knowledge of UK payroll legislation and statutory processes
* Strong Excel and administrative skills
* High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
* Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset
* Proactive, organised, and able to work under pressure
