We have an exciting opportunity for a Compliance Manager to work within our Property Services team. We are a forward thinking, values driven department, this role is based in our Rockingham Street offices.
We are looking for a Compliance Manager to drive and maintain effective legislative and regulatory compliance in the management of SYHA assets to ensure that SYHA’s customers live in safe and compliant homes.
You will work as part of the Maintenance Management Team in our Property Services Department to ensure an appropriate framework is in place, providing assurance that our assets are well managed, and we achieve 100% compliance in line with regulatory requirements.

Our ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of regulations governing gas safety, electricity, asbestos, legionella, lifts and lifting equipment and fire risk. You will also be expected to understand the implications of Awaab’s law and work within SYHA policy and procedure to respond to Damp, Mould and Condensation cases. You will be responsible for managing compliance servicing contracts and addressing issues arising from maintaining and managing assets. Experience in a similar role working within a housing or construction environment is essential.

More about the role:
As Compliance Manager, you will lead a team to support the Head of Maintenance and carry out a quality assurance role to ensure that we meet regulatory requirements, and the data and recording is accurate and timely.
You will also be responsible for writing reports for changes to legislation or good practice and the financial implications of changes for the organisation.

* IT literate in both Asset Management software and Excel

* Ability to work collaboratively with other Maintenance Managers to ensure team members are managing, monitoring and recording servicing and legislative maintenance

You will manage and engage a team of staff to ensure SYHA maintains its excellent compliance performance for its customers and homes
