 
        
        Therapy Clerk role in Podiatry and Orthotics at Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board. The closing date is 29 October 2025.
Main duties of the job
To provide administrative support to the podiatry department, performing tasks identified by the Senior Podiatry Clerk to ensure the work of the office is completed in a timely manner. The Podiatry Office provides clerical and administrative support for the whole service.

This doesn’t mean essential; while the candidate doesn’t need Welsh, it will be considered an advantage when short-listing and selecting candidates. This isn’t 'fluency', just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health.

Job responsibilities
The post holder will be a first point of contact for patients telephoning the department. In addition, the post holder will register new referrals, make appointments for patients using clinical information, telephone and postal systems, coordinate appointments for patients requiring house calls, and file and retrieve patient records from the on-site records store. The post holder is required to deputise for the Senior Podiatry Office Clerk when they are not present in the office.

Qualifications
 * 3 GCSE O level or equivalent inc Maths and English
 * ECDL
Experience
 * Service to customers
 * Clerical duty experience
Knowledge
 * Competent in use of MS Word and Outlook
 * Ability to interrogate data
 * Welsh language speaking/listening skills at Level 3 or above
