Thrive Group are delighted to be working with our client in Frome who is actively looking to recruit a Production Planner to join the team on a permanent basis.
What you will be doing:
Reporting to the Head of Purchasing & Packaging, the Supply Manager is responsible for supervision of all aspects of the company supply and demand functions, working closely with the Marketing and Planning teams at all three sites to ensure smooth running of production and supply, and meeting customer requirements:-
Plan and manage material requirements to support the production schedule.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimal stock levels are maintained.
Work closely with production, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure smooth material flow.
Prepare basic reports on stock levels, shortages, and material usage.
Work with procurement and suppliers to track deliveries and resolve supply issues.
Update and maintain material planning data.
MRP - raising new orders and reviewing current orders to make amendments.
Communicate all lead time and price variations to the Procurement Team.
What you will need to succeed:
Experience in production planning or supply chain within a manufacturing environment
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.
Comfortable working with MRP/ERP systems (e.g., Sage) and production planning tools.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across operational teams.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage changing priorities.
What you will receive in return:
£28,000 to £30,000 per annum (DOE)
Monday to Friday 08.30Am to 17.00PM
