About the Role:
We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and well-resourced secondary school that values the importance of Religious Education in helping students explore diverse perspectives, moral issues, and cultural understanding. The successful candidate will teach RE across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of KS5 for suitable applicants.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and thought-provoking RE lessons
Plan, mark, and assess in line with national curriculum requirements
Encourage critical thinking and respectful debate in the classroom
Monitor student progress and contribute to departmental improvement
Support the wider school ethos and participate in professional development
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Strong subject knowledge in Religious Education or related humanities subject
Experience teaching RE at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
A genuine passion for exploring ethical, philosophical, and cultural topics
Excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills
