Applicants will need to hold a driving licence as there will be a requirement to complete shunter training. We operate an annualised hours working agreement, consisting of 3 x 12 hour shifts per week across a 24/6 operation. Shifts are 6am until 6pm, 6pm until 6am.
To receipt product into stock to support customer demands, to pick stock required for delivery as per customer call off’s. Receive deliveries from various suppliers and control internal allocation.
1. Ensure all warehouse related activities are conducted safely and identify opportunities for safety improvement.
2. Promote good 5S standards, material handling equipment, general warehouse condition and dealing with any issues immediately. Ensure any equipment is handed over between shifts in a clean and organised manner. Ensure housekeeping is at the expected level.
3. Ensure that correct PPE is worn at all times.
4. Ensure all relevant equipment checks are carried out at the defined frequency, (e.g. FLT’s)..
5. Use of the Concern Reporting (BGS) system for the identification and correction of any potential safety hazards.
6. Carry out Safety ‘Toolbox’ talks on relevant topics at least one per month or when appropriate following an incident as supplied by MPS H&S Manager.
7. Maintain stock accuracy via perpetual stock counts and use of the RF system.
8. Ensure all deliveries are correctly picked and loaded via adherence to defined SOP’s.
9. Ensure stock is receipted into the warehouse via adherence to defined SOP’s.
10. All materials controlled and issued according to production requirements.
11. Provide issue request notes to assist sheet allocation to press.
