Job Purpose: To maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the care home.
Reporting to: Head of Housekeeping & General Manager
Hours: Contracted 2 x 6 hour shifts a week on a set 4 week rolling rota + opportunity to pick up additional hours to cover.
Important: Due to the rural location of Penpergwm House and limited bus service, this role is only suitable for those who have a driver's license and the use of a vehicle at all times.
Job Responsibilities:
* The complete all cleaning duties as allocated in the Cleaning; Daily, Periodic and Monthly Work Instructions
* To follow the Universal Infection and Control Procedures throughout your cleaning duties
* To maintain the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the home
* To assist with the laundry processing as and when required
* To use all equipment and cleaning products following manufacturer's instructions
* To ensure that all cleaning equipment and products are cleaned and stored safely after use
* To adhere to all health and safety regulations
* To report any faults, hazards or visible risks immediately to the Housekeeper and Care Home Manager.
* To undertake such training as required to maintain the highest cleaning standards
* To undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by the Housekeeper or the Care Home Manager
Person Specification:
* Demonstrate practical domestic skills
* Empathy with elders
* Good level of physical health
* Good communication skills
* Good understanding of health and safety issues
* Good time management
* Good organisational skills
* Ability to follow instructions
* Ability to work alone adhering to a schedule
* Clean driving licence
* Good understanding of Universal Infection Control
