We are delighted to be recruiting for an enthusiastic and committed Year 4 Class Teacher to join an Outstanding Primary School in Orpington from after February half term until the end of the academic year. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate teacher to join a high-performing, supportive team in a school where children thrive.
This is a full-time teaching role, and the successful candidate will take on the full responsibilities of class teaching, including planning, teaching, assessment and parent communication.
The Role
As the Year 4 Class Teacher, you will:
1. plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the primary curriculum
2. ensure strong progress and outcomes for all pupils
3. create a positive, inclusive and well-managed learning environment
4. assess, track and report on pupil progress effectively
5. work collaboratively with colleagues and leadership to maintain high standards
6. build strong relationships with parents/carers and the wider school community
The Ideal Candidate Will:
7. hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
8. have experience teaching in KS2 (Year 4 experience is desirable)
9. be confident delivering engaging, well-structured lessons
10. demonstrate strong behaviour management and high expectations
11. be organised, proactive and able to hit the ground running
12. be committed to inclusion and supporting pupils of all abilities
13. have a professional and positive approach to teamwork
