We are seeking an experienced Lead Project Manager to lead a team of 3 junior Project Managers whilst taking full ownership of complex, small-medium value projects across Scotland (up to £40M). This role is a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of the industry—delivering sustainable infrastructure that makes a real impact.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
As the Lead Project Manager, you will manage the full project lifecycle, from mobilisation through to successful completion and client handover. Your duties will include:
* Leading the planning, scheduling, and implementation of major electrical infrastructure and renewable energy projects.
* Acting as the primary client interface, building strong partnerships and ensuring consistent client satisfaction.
* Driving performance and managing cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
* Overseeing all project phases, including:
* Start-Up – project mobilisation, stakeholder engagement, planning and resourcing
* Execution – daily oversight, reporting, progress tracking, and HSEQ compliance
* Close-Out – final delivery, client handover, documentation, and lessons learned
* Ensuring all operations meet or exceed environmental, health, and safety standards.
🧠 What You Bring
* Proven experience managing large-scale engineering or electrical infrastructure projects, ideally within renewable energy or utilities.
* Strong technical understanding of project lifecycle management, scheduling, and risk control.
* Excellent leadership, team coordination, and client communication skills.
* A consistent track record of delivering complex projects safely, on time, and to specification.
* Willingness and flexibility to travel across the UK as needed.
Experience working with LV, MV, and HV electrical systems—including substations—is essential.
