Staff Nurse - Outpatients (Ophthalmology) (Bank)

About us
Wessex Hospital (Nuffield Health Wessex Hospital) is a private hospital in West Hampshire with specialisms in Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Urology, Women's Health and Spinal surgery. The hospital offers onsite radiology, pathology, pharmacy, physiotherapy and hydrotherapy, with 16 consulting rooms, 46 private patient bedrooms, a 24‑hour resident doctor on site, four operating theatres and one endoscopy suite.
Employment Terms
Bank role: ad‑hoc basis, including weekend work. Pay up to £25 per hour depending on experience.
Job responsibilities
* Show passion for delivering excellent patient care.
* Manage a varied and interesting caseload in Outpatients services.
* Take part in a wide range of procedures, manage clinics and apply clinical skills to aid recovery.
* Instinctively meet the needs of patients and their families, offering comfort and reassurance.
* Work with practitioners in other areas to ensure continuity in patient care.
* Enjoy more time to care and get to know patients.
* Be able to carry out ophthalmology tests and support laser procedures and post‑op care, or be willing to expand skills as required (e.g., OCT, visual field, pan‑titration, biometry).
