If you’re motivated by solving big problems, we’re hiring key roles across the company and need your help! Ouster is seeking a Digital IC Design Engineer to play a critical role in designing and building next-generation, commercial-grade LiDAR systems.
The candidate should have a background in digital circuit specification, design and verification for ASIC / Mixed-Signal SoCs or experience in FPGA design and looking to move into ASIC development.

The most qualified candidate will be selected to join our innovative, collaborative and dynamic team in our Design Centre in Edinburgh, Scotland.
1. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Concept definition of digital SOC architecture & blocks Specification writing RTL design & verification ((System)Verilog/VHDL/FPGA) Close working with analog IC designers and sub-contractors Experience with design synthesis, timing closure & STA is highly desirable Support DfT strategy & implementation Debug of RTL/gate level simulations/failures to root cause Scripting (Python, Perl, etc.) Collaboration with firmware, hardware, software, analog IC design engineers Prepare technical reports, proposals and presentations Prototyping with FPGA desirable Experience with P&R a bonus MATLAB modelling of algorithms a bonus REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS: Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
Min 8 - 10+ years experience of relevant industrial experience in digital design having seen multiple projects from concept to tapeout and mass production.
Good knowledge of the full IC front-to-back design flow Experience with automotive electronics a bonus We acknowledge the confidence gap at Ouster.
