Job title: Design Integration & Systems Engineer

Exciting opportunities have arisen for Design Integrators and Systems Engineers to join the Design Engineering function, based at Rolls-Royce in Derby or Bristol.

As a Design Integrator or System Engineer, you will extract, understand, and define technical requirements, collaborating with stakeholders to develop solutions. You should have knowledge in problem resolution, designing and integrating physical and functional systems, performing technical analysis, and defining verification strategies throughout the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities include:
* Leading Systems Engineering across the product lifecycle and mentoring engineers from other functions.
* Eliciting, maturing, and validating stakeholder requirements.
* Investigating and understanding problems using Systems Engineering principles.
* Understanding product interactions at all levels, from platform to components.
* Developing verification strategies and compliance documentation.
* Engineering complex electro, fluid, thermal, and mechanical systems.
* Integrating systems with platform and customer environments.
* Designing creative, robust, and optimized solutions, managing risks, and applying new technologies.
* Supporting validation, verification, and product release activities.
Ideal candidates will have:
* A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with relevant experience.
* Knowledge of design methodologies and cross-disciplinary engineering concepts.
* Logical, analytical, and innovative thinking skills.
* Experience with product integrity, reliability, and certification frameworks.
* Membership of a relevant professional body; Chartered status is preferred.
* Strong communication and presentation skills.
* Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), such as Cameo Systems Modeller, and familiarity with standards like ARP4754A/ED-79A.
* UK nationality and ability to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance.
