Your Role as Nursery Chef
As our Nursery Chef, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and welcoming kitchen environment. Your responsibilities will include:
* Maintaining a clean and safe kitchen, adhering to hygiene standards and completing the Kitchen Hygiene Checklist monthly.
* Preparing and cooking age-appropriate meals for children, minimizing food waste.
* Communicating dietary requirements clearly to the team and ensuring all needs are met.
* Collaborating with nursery staff and parents to promote healthy eating habits.
* Managing food orders within budgetary constraints to ensure quality service.

What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
* A solid understanding of managing dietary requirements and food allergies (essential).
* Knowledge of COSHH regulations (essential).
* Experience working within a catering budget while maintaining high food service standards (essential).
* Relevant cooking experience in domestic or commercial settings (essential).
* Fluency in written and spoken English at GCSE grade C (or equivalent) (essential).
* A passion for cooking for young children (desirable).
