What you will do:
* Deliver non-medical prescribing interventions for substance misuse, including opiate substitution therapy and alcohol detoxification, ensuring alignment with national clinical guidelines.
* Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, considering physical and mental health needs, risk assessment, and care planning.
* Manage a diverse caseload of service users, guiding recovery through structured treatment and harm reduction methods.
* Monitor and review prescribing interventions to uphold safe practice, compliance, and effective outcomes.
Qualifications:
* Professional qualification: Qualified as a Registered Nurse, Pharmacist, or Allied Health Professional, with a Non-Medical Prescribing qualification (V300 or equivalent).
* Registration: Active registration with a relevant professional body such as NMC, HCPC, or GPhC.
* Development: Demonstrated evidence of continued professional development.
Experience:
* Substance misuse expertise: Extensive experience within drug and alcohol or substance misuse services, including independent prescribing in community or clinical settings.
* Caseload management: Proven ability to manage complex caseloads, including high-risk and vulnerable individuals.
* Teamwork: Experience working within a multidisciplinary team and contributing to clinical governance frameworks.
