Interim FP&A Manager (3–6 months, view to perm) | Hybrid | Leeds (3 days)
If you can build a model faster than most people can find the “sum” button, then keep reading.
If you enjoy turning chaos into clarity (and occasionally telling senior leaders “no, that’s not how numbers work”) even better.
We’re looking for an Interim FP&A Manager who’s equal parts commercial thinker, data whisperer and friendly challenger-of-the-status-quo. The role is interim with a very real chance to go permanent, assuming you don’t run away after seeing their current reporting.
What you’ll be doing
* Owning the financial model like it’s your firstborn
* Creating forecasts so accurate people will accuse you of witchcraft
* Turning Power BI dashboards into something people click into on purpose
* Running a 13-week cashflow that doesn’t require “interpretation”
* Partnering with Operations to improve wage efficiency (without needing a translator)
* Helping Sales & Development price things based on data, not optimism.
* Delivering insight that’s actually actionable, not just “interesting”
* Developing one direct report and gently steering them away from spreadsheet mayhem
* Spotting broken processes and fixing them (our favourite kind of rebel)
Who you are
* ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified and no, they won’t test you on debits and credits
* Commercial, curious, and allergic to vague answers
* Great with people, not just spreadsheets
* Skilled in Excel, Power BI and explaining things to non-finance humans
* Happy to challenge, influence and simplify without being a finance diva
Why you’ll actually enjoy this
* You’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with the CFO, FD and Exec Team.
* You’ll make a visible dent in how we plan, forecast and make decisions.
* You’ll have space to build, improve and modernise things.
* And yes, there’s a genuine opportunity to go permanent if you want to stick around
* £70k-75k circa or day rate £350 - £400 a day
