We're looking for a commercially astute and strategically minded Finance Director – International to lead the financial direction of our growing international division. This is a pivotal role responsible for driving long-term profitable growth, overseeing a £200m P&L, and enabling data-led decision-making across multiple markets. With a strong focus on planning, transformation, and cross-border collaboration, you'll elevate financial performance, lead key change initiatives, and play a vital role in shaping our global expansion strategy. The Role: Key Responsibilities: Strategic Finance Business Partnering Act as trusted strategic partner to the International CEO and senior leadership. Shape and challenge business strategies using insight-led financial analysis. Lead financial input into strategic initiatives, M&A, market entry, and investment cases. Financial Planning & Performance Management Lead the end-to-end FP&A cycle for international markets, aligned to group planning cycles in collaboration with Group FP&A. Drive the development of accurate forecasts, budgets, and insightful performance reviews. Ensure financial data integrity, control, and compliance with international accounting standards. Transformation & Value Creation Champion and where appropriate lead finance transformation projects in alignment with H&B's operating model. Work with the Finance Transformation programme to implement technology platforms, improve efficiency, automate reporting, and embed value-add analytics capabilities. Champion continuous improvement and standardisation across international finance. Leadership & Talent Development Build and lead a high-performing international finance team. Build succession plans, and development pathways. Role model H&B's EPIC values and leadership behaviours. Cross-functional and Global Collaboration Work closely with Commercial, Supply Chain and Digital functions across markets, to deliver on cross-functional, cross-divisional opportunities and solve challenges. Partner with Group functions to ensure alignment and scalability of processes. Lead finance's contribution to new market entries and cross-border synergies Key Performance Indicators to evaluate success International divisional financial performance vs plan Budget and forecast accuracy Quality and timeliness of financial insights and reporting Progress on finance transformation roadmap Engagement and development of finance team Effectiveness of business partnering and stakeholder feedback Horizontal alignment of objectives with Group Finance CoE's Location: This role is based in Nuneaton, and may be occasionally required to travel to our London Hub or to any other location of H&B. We support flexibility and productivity of our employees by hybrid working arrangements with minimum 2 days presence in the office The Person: Key Requirements: Proven success in a senior international finance leadership role within a complex, fast-paced, multi-country organisation. Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with a strong academic background in Finance, Accounting, or Business. In-depth knowledge of IFRS, corporate governance, international tax and regulatory compliance, particularly in retail, eCommerce, or multi-channel environments. Demonstrated experience in strategic business partnering, providing financial insight to influence executive-level decision-making. Strong commercial acumen with advanced financial modelling, forecasting, and performance analysis skills. Track record of leading finance teams through transformation, including ERP system implementation (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and process improvement. Experienced in managing cross-border teams and navigating cultural and operational complexity in global markets. Exposure to M&A, joint ventures, or international expansion projects is highly desirable.
