A leading food manufacturer is looking to recruit a Senior Buyer to join its procurement team in Oxfordshire. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business where you'll play a key role in ensuring the supply of raw materials and ingredients to support production.
The Role
As a raw material Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing ingredients, managing supplier relationships, negotiating costs, and ensuring materials are available to meet production demands. You will work closely with planning, production, technical, and supply chain teams to maintain a smooth and efficient supply process.
Key Responsibilities
* Source and purchase ingredients in line with business requirements.
* Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supply agreements with suppliers.
* Manage supplier relationships and monitor performance.
* Ensure continuity of supply while maintaining stock targets.
* Identify cost-saving opportunities and support procurement initiatives.
* Work closely with internal stakeholders to support production plans.
About You
* Previous experience in a Buyer, Procurement, or Purchasing role.
* Experience within food manufacturing, FMCG, or a related sector.
* Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
* Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
