Multi Skilled Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Apprentice
Location: James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough, TS4 3BW
Type: Full Time, Permanent (37.5 hours/week)
Salary: £18,200 - £22,000 plus Serco benefits
Main Responsibilities:
* Follow instructions, training, and guidance to achieve the Apprenticeship Standard within the agreed timeframe, complying with statutory requirements.
* Diagnose, fault find, and repair faults on plant, equipment, and services.
* Manufacture, assemble, install, test, and make minor improvements, ensuring safety standards are met.
* Perform planned preventative maintenance and statutory inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
* Utilize tools and equipment correctly, plan and evaluate material requirements, and communicate effectively with team members.
* Coordinate with wards/departments for access and availability, complete all necessary paperwork, and follow drawings and specifications under supervision.
* Understand and adhere to NHS and employer financial, health, and safety policies.
* Attend training sessions, complete logbooks, and submit all required documentation on time.
* Maintain communication about progress and ensure actions and targets are met within deadlines.
* Demonstrate commitment to equality, diversity, and health and safety standards.
* Engage in personal development and education, developing a Personal Development Plan.
Candidate Requirements:
* Minimum grade B/5 in GCSE Maths and C/4 in Science and other subjects.
* Excellent communication skills, team player, and able to work independently.
* Willing to undertake required training, work at height and in confined spaces, and attend college as needed.
