Job opportunity: Client Accounts Administrator Cooke & Arkwright is a leading independent firm of Chartered Surveyors based in South Wales, providing specialist commercial property advice across the region and throughout the UK. We are experts across all property sectors and are looking for a highly organised and motivated Client Accounts Administrator to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a well‑established, dynamic business supporting a major client portfolio.
About the role
You will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high‑quality accounting and administration services within our Commercial Management team. Working closely with the Director, surveyors and wider administrative support, you will help manage a significant rental portfolio, ensuring accuracy, compliance and exceptional client service.
From updating lease data and processing rental payments and financial data and liaising with tenants, solicitors and suppliers, you will be involved in a wide range of tasks that underpin the day‑to‑day management of a large, prestigious estate. You will work with both internal and client‑side systems, with full training provided.

Who we are looking for
You should be highly organised and adaptable, with strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. You’ll be confident working independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment. This is anticipated to be a full‑time role working 37 hours per week from Monday to Friday. However, we will remain flexible to discuss alternative working patterns depending upon the experience of candidates.

* Prior accounts administration and/or property management experience (beneficial but not essential)
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* A proactive approach to problem‑solving and customer service
Key responsibilities
* Managing and updating client rental portfolio data, including leases, licences, assignments, rent reviews and monthly rent/interest runs
* Handling rent collection, transfers to clients, tenant refunds and monthly bank reconciliations
* Conducting credit control and maintaining accurate internal database records
* Setting up suppliers, preparing sales completion statements and processing invoices
* Providing regular reports to directors and clients
* Ensuring compliance with client contracts and supporting audit checks
* Attending regular client meetings and training sessions both in person and via Teams
* Delivering high‑quality administrative support across the team
* Responding efficiently to client and tenant queries
