Chemonics UK is inviting applications from climate finance professionals and advisors interested in working with us to deliver the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD)’s Corporate Climate Governance (CCG) Facility programme.
These positions will be based in London, UK, and across EBRD countries of operation in Europe, Asia, and Africa.
We are seeking individuals with significant experience in climate transition planning and a passion for sustainability practices and disclosures.
The programme aims to enhance capacity to recognize climate and sustainability impacts, risks, and opportunities relevant to business operations, aligned with international frameworks and standards, as well as regulations.
We are looking for portfolio climate finance professionals, including:
* Financial and Technical Experts and Analysts
* Legal/Regulatory Experts
* Communication and Marketing Experts
You will join a core team of experienced professionals, each bringing at least 7-10 years of relevant experience in sustainability and climate finance.
Note: This position is for an anticipated proposal and is contingent upon award of a contract to Chemonics UK.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Senior Advisory Experts:
* Support financial institutions on sustainability and climate issues, including transition planning, climate strategy, risk management, metrics, and targets.
* Knowledge of TCFD, ISSB, European and global disclosure practices, EBRD Paris alignment, and market best practices.
* Experience in training and advising financial institutions across the EBRD region.
Financial Technical Experts & Analysts:
* Provide advisory, technical, and analytical support for capacity building, product development, and knowledge management, with experience working with financial institutions in EBRD regions.
Legal/Regulatory Experts: with at least 7 years of relevant experience and a strong understanding of climate policies and frameworks.
Communication and Marketing Experts:
* Experience in climate or sustainability communication programs, digital communication, and developing targeted strategies. Knowledge management specialists with at least 7 years of experience are also sought.
Duration: Part-time, expected from 2026 to 2027 (subject to confirmation).
Location: London/Remote.
