Referral Clinician - Emergency and Critical Care Blaise Veterinary Referral Hospital Longbridge - Birmingham We are delighted to now be accepting applications from clinicians interested in being a part of our ECC service. The Hospital Blaise is a large scale, multi-disciplinary referral hospital which encompasses the culture and high clinical standards IVC prides itself upon. Blaise has added to IVC's extensive referral network, which now consists of over 100 referral sites across UK & Ireland. This is the first hospital in our group that we have built which has created a unique opportunity to be a part of something special from the very beginning. The hospital is one of the largest in the UK at over 36,000 sq ft, with the capacity to treat up to 10,000 pets per year. From the site we will provide specialist led multi-discipline veterinary referrals and a Vets Now emergency service. The site has easy access from the A38 through Longbridge and is part of the West Longbridge regeneration project. The Role ECC will be at our core within the hospital and adopt a similar model to the Vets Now hospitals in Manchester and Glasgow that are part of our referral division. Our established ECC teams in these sites will work on site with our new team at Blaise to set the service up and provide guidance and support where needed. These introductions through the early days will help to build your relationships and support network across the division to aid with advice or guidance. Our ECC clinicians can be available to chat to you through the recruitment process if that would benefit you. The service has a Head of ECC and a team of referral clinicians, discipline specific interns and a team of ECC nurses. Residency and rotating intern programmes will follow as soon as the caseload allows. In your role you would also be supported by the Clinical Director and National Lead in ECC at IVC Evidensia - Dr Daniel Lewis (DACVECC/DECVECC). You will assist in the development of a collaborative culture within your discipline, and work closely alongside colleagues in further disciplines ensuring transparency throughout the hospital.
