About the role:
Liquid Personnel has an exclusive opportunity for a Children’s Home Manager to oversee a solo home for a young person with backgrounds of EBD and CSE. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Children’s Manager or deputy wanting to utilize their experience and knowledge to shape the future of this home.
You will be working for a reputable children’s home provider across the northwest, focusing on positive outcomes for young people using therapeutic approaches. The home provides 1-1 support to help build and repair relationships and equip young people with skills for a successful future.
As the Home Manager, you will:
* Oversee daily operations, including staff management, budgeting, and resource allocation
* Lead the staff team proactively, with the deputy, to create a safe and warm environment for children and young people to achieve positive outcomes
* Provide leadership and conduct regular performance reviews for staff
* Collaborate with external agencies such as social workers, healthcare providers, and education professionals to ensure high-quality care
* Ensure the home is a safe, welcoming environment respecting the needs and preferences of the young people
* Maintain accurate records and reports, and complete administrative tasks efficiently
The successful candidate will have:
* At least 2 years’ experience managing an Ofsted-registered children’s home
* Level 5 in Leadership & Management – Residential childcare (or equivalent)
* Thorough knowledge of Ofsted regulations, legislations, and standards related to residential care homes for children
* Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with staff, young people, and external stakeholders
* Physical intervention experience or willingness to undertake practical training
