Through the Youth Community Living Support Services (YCLSS) program, you will support young people aged 15–24 experiencing serious mental health challenges to build confidence, independence and hope for the future.YCLSS is a government-funded, community-based program designed to empower young people living with mental illness. By providing psychosocial support the program helps participants stay connected to their communities, pursue education or employment, manage mental health and find stable housing. With Local Health District partners we provide coordinated, holistic care that supports not just individuals but their families and futures.**About the opportunity**Join the YLCSS team at Wellways, where Support Workers walk alongside participants as they navigate the journey into adulthood.In this role, you’ll provide intensive, person-centred support to build essential life skills in areas such as:* Social connection, leadership, and decision-making* Teamwork, resilience, and self-esteem* Healthy lifestyles, community service, and personal responsibilityAs part of the team, you will also:* Keep accurate and timely records to ensure high-quality support* Be guided by Wellways’ Well Together Model and Recovery Frameworks* Travel across the region, with some overnight stays as requiredThis is more than a job it’s an opportunity to support the next generation to build independence, confidence and brighter futures.This is your chance to make a lasting difference in the lives of young people, empowering them to thrive in their communities.
