Key responsibilities
* Deliver safe, compassionate, evidence‑based nursing care within the ED as part of a multi‑professional team.
* Identify, screen and recruit eligible patients into approved research studies in line with study protocols and governance requirements.
* Support the completion of study‑related procedures, documentation and data collection to ensure research activity is accurate, timely and compliant.
* Work collaboratively across ED and Research teams to embed research within routine emergency care pathways.
Ideal candidate
* Minimum of 18 months experience working within an NHS Emergency Department.
* Strong clinical assessment and prioritisation skills suitable for a fast‑paced, unpredictable setting.
* Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively across teams and with patients in acute situations.
* Good IT skills and ability to project‑manage and problem‑solve.
* Interest in clinical research, improvement and the use of evidence to influence patient care.
* Mandatory: No prior research experience required – full training will be provided.
