Holland Park, London A highly professional and experienced live out (or live in if you prefer) Senior Housekeeper/ Head Housekeeper/ PA is required for a family of three (the female Principal with two university-age children) based in a large property in Holland Park, London. The property has 4 floors (and a lift), 4 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, drawing room, family room as well as a gym and spa thus a highly energetic and self-motivated candidate is essential for this role. The successful Housekeeper must be willing to train at their home in Wentworth, Surrey (nearest train station is Virginia Water) before their move to London in June. So you will be working in Surrey from as soon as you are offered the job until June and then from June onwards you will be working in Holland Park, London. You can live out/ live in in Wentworth and live out/ live in Holland - if you are very interested in the job, please discuss this with us to make sure you understand this, as the client can be flexible. They have other staff at both properties including another Housekeeper whom you will be working alongside with. Duties will include Cleaning and tidying the interior of the entire home, including inside windows, to a superior level of cleanliness and hygiene Assisting with food prep and cleaning, tidying and organising the kitchen, butler’s pantry and wine room including appliances and equipment after meals. Ability to cook/ prepare fresh family dishes a big plus but not a must. Making weekly shopping lists, keeping the refrigerator, pantry and cupboards clean and discarding out-of-date items Making beds, changing bed linens and bath towels Collecting, washing, ironing and returning laundry to the appropriate place Managing wardrobes Mending clothes Arranging dry-cleaning Answering door and phone Managing deliveries Running errands Feeding pets when needed Watering household plants and flower arranging Assisting with preparation for dinner parties and special events Handling petty cash and employee debit card Dealing with tradesmen, suppliers and contractors Managing security alarms Keeping patios, pathways and steps clean and tidy Maintaining stock of cleaning and household supplies Maintaining, cleaning and arranging servicing of all household large and small appliances and home systems Notifying the Employer immediately if anything is needing repair or is broken Carrying out any other tasks that the Employer may reasonably ask It is essential that you are pet friendly as the family have four dogs (one large size and 3 small) and you will be required to assist with pet care. There is a daily dog walker on staff. Working days and hours: Mon to Fri 8.30am to 5.30pm with a break during the day. Occasional Saturday working will be required, no more than once per month. Start: ASAP but can wait for the right person Requirements Reliable, flexible, trustworthy, highly organised, enthusiastic housekeeper with a minimum of 5 years previous experience working in formal private residences and a minimum of 3 years working in one residence. Attention to detail, working on own initiative and a very good team player. Highest standards of cleaning and hygiene. Excellent laundry skills. Fluent English. Pet friendly essential.
