We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our After School Clubs by ensuring that food preparation and cooking processes run smoothly. Responsibilities
* Preparation of food, ensuring that all ingredients are ready for cooking.
* Cooking and plating simple but healthy dishes, maintaining high standards of food hygiene.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste appropriately.
* Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
* Help with catering events as required, ensuring timely service and customer satisfaction.
* Assist with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages to the kitchen manager.
* Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of kitchen operations.
Experience
* Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, including roles in catering or restaurants.
* Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations is essential.
* Experience in meal preparation and cooking techniques will be advantageous.
* A strong willingness to learn and develop culinary skills is highly valued.

Pay: £12.21-£13.28 per hour
