Job Description
An opportunity for a Facilities Maintenance Engineer to join a world leader in Waste Handling Equipment. Our client has already engaged in the delivery of a wide range of high-profile projects for local authorities and international Contractors. Recently, they were awarded another major contract and are looking to add a Facilities Maintenance Engineer on a permanent basis to their highly experienced team.
The client is a highly successful international business with several manufacturing and service facilities in the UK and abroad, with roots dating back hundreds of years. They hold an impressive list of accreditations and approvals, including ISO 9001 and Investors in People. They are market leaders in innovation, safety, and aftermarket service.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Carry out preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across buildings, plant, and equipment.
2. Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults.
3. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory.
4. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
5. Support continuous improvement initiatives and respond to breakdowns.
6. Provide facilities support across multiple sites as needed.
Ideal Candidate:
* Proven experience in facilities or plant maintenance.
* Completed a mechanical or craft apprenticeship (or time-served equivalent).
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
* Confident working at height and holding IOSH certification.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
* Flexible and proactive, with the ability to manage workload independently.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with maintenance systems.
