We are advertising for an Interim Business Support Analyst to join our Investment Ope rations team on a fixed term contract basis. The Business Support Analyst provides administrative support for all members of the LPF investment management team, and company-wide tasks and support on an ad hoc basis. With specialist investment-related knowledge and excellent administration skills, they act as a vital conduit between the front office and back office/ accounting functions and between the internal team and all Lothian Pension Fund stakeholders. The Role The Business Support Analyst will be responsible for: Providing support to Investment Operations Analysts with preparation for Joint Investment Forum meetings, including production and collation of quarterly reports. They may also provide secretarial and minute taking services for all investment group meetings and other ad hoc meetings. To prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, annual and ad hoc investment reports, including valuation reporting for internally managed portfolios. Ensure that the investment information on the LPF website is up-to-date, accessible and accurate. Contribute to the FOI process for the investment management team, sourcing the relevant information and coordinating responses. Assist the Head of Investment Operations with supplier management and business continuity arrangements as well as case management and administration relating to the front office order management system. Assist, if required, all members of the investment team with calendar invites, travel and accommodation research, webcast/meeting arrangements. Coordinate attendance (internal and external participants) at conferences, such as the PLSA and events such as the Real Asset AGM. What experience are we looking for? The following requirements are essential for this role: Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within investments. Familiarity with the end-to -end trade lifecycle across multiple asset classes would be beneficial. Good verbal and written communication skills. Good numerical skills. Strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail and good time management. Ability to provide timely and accurate reports. Ability to multi-task and be versatile in a fast-moving environment. Good working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and the Microsoft suite of software, especially excel and word. Investment Operations Certification (IOC) or willingness to attain it. Clean basic vetting checks.
