Job overview
An exciting opportunity has presented for a dynamic and motivated pharmacist to join our Cardiovascular pharmacy team. We are looking to recruit for maternity leave cover for the post of Advanced Pharmacist Cardiology (Cardiovascular Services) who will play a pivotal role in managing and further developing the pharmacy service provided to the division, in particular cardiology and stroke clinical areas. There is a unique opportunity for a pharmacist interested in cardiovascular service to develop into the role, with support provided. This would be a progression post from band 7 to band 8a specialist.
Main duties of the job
Responsible for leading, managing, delivering, planning and developing the clinical pharmaceutical services to the Cardiology Directorate in liaison with the Pharmacy Team Lead.

Person specification
* Registered Pharmacist: Member of GPhC
* Post-graduate certificate in clinically-based pharmacy or recognised equivalent
* Registered Independent Pharmacist Prescriber
* Demonstrate professional networking (e.g. member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society or UKCPA)
EXPERIENCE e.g. Breadth of occupational experience
* Broad clinical experience at Post Registration Pharmacist level
* Delivery of pharmacy services to a range of specialities
* Delivery of a pharmacy service to a specialist level
* Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
* Experience of delivering training
* Experience of managing others
* Experience of audit and using key performance indicators
* Evidence of practicing as an independent prescriber
* Experience of foundation year / postgraduation pharmacist training
SKILLS, ABILITIES & KNOWLEDGE
* Able to prioritise and manage own workload
* Work, communicate and provide effective leadership within a team
* Clear and concise verbal and written communication to ensure liaison with multi-disciplinary team, patients and carers and to ensure records are kept accurately and in a legible manner
