The Africa Health Organisation (AHO) is evolving. It aims to create a mobile health app to enhance patient care and innovation, positively impacting lives across Africa by providing robust health care.
Responsibilities
 * Drive AHO’s success beyond coding by enhancing customer engagement, improving operational efficiency, and creating new revenue streams; translate complex business goals into user‑centric products.
 * Boost customer engagement & loyalty – implement loyalty programs, personalized content, and push notifications.
 * Generate higher revenue through in‑app purchases, subscriptions, promotions and seamless shopping experiences.
 * Enhance brand visibility by delivering a high‑quality app experience and fostering positive brand association.
 * Provide valuable customer insights using built‑in app analytics to inform marketing and product decisions.
 * Streamline internal operations by automating workflows (inventory, field service reporting, employee communication) for cost savings and higher productivity.
 * Integrate emerging technologies such as AI chatbots, AR features and IoT connectivity to stay at the cutting edge.
 * Ensure scalable, future‑proof architecture with ongoing maintenance, security patches and compatibility updates.
 * Plan and execute the project: define scope, objectives and deliverables, develop detailed timelines, manage budgets and resources, own wireframes and essential documents.
 * Coordinate cross‑functional teams (developer, designer, technical director, marketing, customer support) and facilitate clear communication.
 * Manage stakeholder relationships, regularly update on progress, gather feedback and incorporate it into the project.
 * Guarantee high quality standards: oversee testing processes, resolve bugs promptly before launch.
 * Develop and execute comprehensive launch plans, including marketing, user acquisition and support strategies.
 * Monitor post‑launch performance and user feedback to guide updates and further development.
 * Identify risks, develop contingency plans, manage scope changes and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Qualifications
 * Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related technical field.
 * Mobile development: 5-10+ years of experience in native iOS and/or Android platforms.
 * Leadership: Proven experience managing and mentoring a development team to deliver complex software projects.
 * Project delivery: Strong track record of delivering high‑quality mobile applications from concept to production.
 * Technical depth: Deep understanding of mobile architecture, design patterns, performance optimisation and security best practices.
 * Technical competence: Proficiency in Swift (iOS), Kotlin/Java (Android), or cross‑platform frameworks such as React Native or Flutter; experience with mobile backend integrations and APIs; familiarity with Apple App Store and Google Play Store release management.
 * Leadership & management: Exceptional communication and stakeholder skills; ability to inspire and motivate a technical team; experience with Agile methodologies.
 * Analytical & strategic thinking: Excellent problem‑solving skills, ability to translate product roadmap into actionable plans, data‑informed decision making.
 * Personal attributes: Proactive, results‑oriented mindset; passion for mobile technologies and continuous learning; resilience and adaptability in a fast‑paced industry.
