We are looking for a practice nurse to work on a full or part time basis in our busy, friendly two site practice. The hours are negotiable but applicants must be flexible and able to cover holidays/sickness. The role will include all aspects of practice nursing including: Cervical cytology, Childhood immunisations, Wound care, Family planning, Chronic disease management. About the Candidate All applicants should have the following qualifications, registrations, skills and experience: A relevant nursing degree. Current NMC registration with an active PIN. Ideally having completed the CNO002 Discovering a Nursing Career in General Practice module or the Fundamentals of Practice Nursing course (General Practice Nurse Foundation Programme) however we would still be interested in those applicants with equivalent experience or qualifications. Evidence of clinical skills and experience in the above duties. Compassionate manner with an empathetic approach and demonstrable kindness in all aspects of your work. The successful candidate will value the dignity of our patients, their relatives and carers, as well as their colleagues at the practice. Knowledge, and experience of its application, in supporting long-term conditions. Insight and understanding of current issues in nursing and the wider NHS.
