Role Summary:
Working closely with IMI’s Chief International Anchor to deliver regular, on camera interviews with high profile individuals who fit the company’s editorial priorities, managing all logistics, coordinating travel and producing social media.
The producer will also work in coordination with all the various IMI assets – including news desks, travel, creative services and multimedia teams.
This role requires strong editorial skills, as well as planning, field production and post production experience, the availability to travel regularly and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while upholding IMI’s editorial standards and values.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work with IMI Chief International Anchor on logistics: coordinating diary, travel, interviews and conferences.
* Work with wider IMI departments on logistics arrangements including securing filming approvals, camera kit carnet and travel for the team.
* Uphold editorial guidelines and ensure compliance with IMI’s journalistic values.
* Maintain clear communication with team members and contribute to a supportive, collaborative working environment.
* Support IMI Chief International Anchor with social media posts and videos.
* Coordinate moderating and panel discussions when needed.
Role Requirements:
* 3-5 years of experience in news, with a focus on field production, output and social media
* Strong editorial judgment and good understanding of news values.
* Experience working in a broadcast newsroom, preferably at the national or international level.
* Familiarity with newsroom production systems and video editing tools.
* Interest in a broad range of topics including current affairs, international news, business, and culture.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Fluent in spoken and written English.
