Senior Software Engineer (AWS / TypeScript) - Up to £440 per day | Remote UK
We’re working with a growing tech-led business embarking on a major cloud transformation programme and they’re looking for a Contract Software Engineer to play a key role in modernising a core platform.
This is a hands on position focused on re-platforming an existing Azure based .NET application into a cloud-native AWS architecture, leveraging modern TypeScript tooling and serverless technologies.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for helping to lift, evolve and re-architect a legacy application into a scalable, event-driven AWS environment.
Working closely with engineers and stakeholders, you’ll contribute to both technical direction and delivery, helping shape best practices and modern engineering standards along the way.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the migration of an existing .NET / SQL Server application into AWS
* Design and build cloud-native solutions using modern TypeScript
* Develop serverless architectures using AWS Lambda, Step Functions and DynamoDB
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver scalable solutions
* Contribute to architectural decisions and promote engineering best practice
* Support CI/CD, testing and deployment processes
Tech Stack

* Existing environment: .NET, Azure, SQL Server
What We’re Looking For
* Strong experience as a Senior Engineer in modern web/backend development
* Proven track record working with AWS and serverless architectures
* Experience building applications with TypeScript / Node.js
* Understanding of cloud migration / modernisation projects
* Solid grasp of API design, distributed systems and event-driven architecture
* Comfortable working in an evolving environment with a high degree of autonomy
