Production Technician - Automatic Assembly Machines
Hours: 40 hours per week
Monday to Friday: 7:00am starts
We are recruiting a Production Technician to set and operate automatic assembly machines within a busy manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong mechanical knowledge who enjoys fault-finding, setting machinery, and keeping production running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Daily operation of automatic assembly machines
Mechanical fault-finding and corrective action
Setting and adjusting machines to fine tolerances to maintain product specification
Running machines efficiently to achieve strong uptime and output
Liaising with toolroom and maintenance teams regarding tooling and machine upkeep
Skills & Experience
Good mechanical knowledge is essential
NVQ / HNC qualification or qualified by experience
Background in production or maintenance within a volume manufacturing environment
Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics is advantageous but not essential
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Strong practical problem-solving skills
Understanding of machine maintenance and ownership
