Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust is a mental health and community trust providing services across Bexley, Greenwich, Bromley, and Kent. Oxleas Prison Services Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary, provides pharmacy services to prison contracts, including newly established posts at Wandsworth Prison following a recent NHS England contract award.
The pharmacy department has a history of innovation, with prescribing guidelines, strong relationships with medical staff, a culture of clinical audit and research, and an excellent publication record. We aim to extend these attributes to our prison pharmacy services.
If you are a pharmacy technician interested in gaining experience in medicines management and administration within a prison setting, this post could be suitable. The post-holder will provide medicines management services to the prison house blocks on rotation and will work in the dispensaries as part of the pharmacy team.
We are seeking candidates with either of the following qualifications:
* Accredited Checking Technician (ACT) qualifications
* Medicines Management (MM) qualification
The post is based at the pharmacy department at HMP Wandsworth.
