We are excited to be working in partnership with a well-established family run Hearing Specialist who have a fantastic full-time permanent opportunity to join their team in the Lewes area. Our client is looking for someone who is a qualified Dispensing Optician that can become a valuable member of the team.
The role is essential to provide outstanding support to customers and patients while contributing to the efficiency of the stores. The ideal candidate will be a qualified Dispensing Optician and registered with the GOC.
Responsibilities
* Manage the whole dispensing process to ensure the highest standard of service.
* Fit contact lenses and provide guidance on their care and usage, including follow-up appointments.
* Collaborate with optometrists to ensure seamless patient care and follow-up on prescriptions.
* Serve as the first point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries and providing exceptional customer service.
* Interpret optical prescriptions written by optometrists or ophthalmologists.
* Offer appropriate advice and guidance to patients visiting the practice on a range of common eye medical conditions.
* Manage product displays, restock inventory and arrange for repairs or adjustments to eyewear.
Experience and Qualifications
* Qualified Dispensing Optician.
* Fully registered with the GOC.
* Experience as a dispensing optician is essential.
* Experience in staff training is desirable.
* Knowledge of the Optical and Hearing industry, processes and products.
* A strong commitment to customer care and a customer-focused approach to work.
* Excellent communication skills to give clear advice to customers.
* Empathy and understanding of patients\' eye health needs.
* Teamworking skills with the ability to lead and motivate staff.
* Attention to detail.

Schedule
* 09:00 – 17:30 Monday to Friday, with some weekend working required.
Pay: £30,900.00 per year.
