Overview We are looking for someone who is friendly, engaging, confident and a good team player. You will be able to work on your own initiative as well as within a large team to manage tasks to ensure the front reception area runs smoothly. You will be answering a busy non-emergency switchboard and dealing with visitors face to face.
You will deal with postal deliveries (both internal and external), couriers, order various stock items for the building (such as stationery and beverages), greet callers and navigate them to the appropriate department/person via a busy switchboard. If you have excellent customer service and reception skills, and enjoy meeting people, you will enjoy the challenge of working as part of this busy team.
Reception is open Monday to Thursday 08:00–17:00, and 08:00–16:30 on Friday. We are looking for a permanent Receptionist to cover the following shifts: Mon to Friday 08:00–12:30, totalling 22.5 hours per week.
Responsibilities
Answering a busy non-emergency switchboard
Directing visitors at the main reception desk
Ordering stationery and beverages
Sorting incoming and outgoing post (both internal and external)
Printing ID cards for new starters and replacement cards for existing staff
