We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and expanding business for an experienced Class 2 Driver with HIAB to join their busy operation in Broxburn. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for a dependable, flexible driver who enjoys customer interaction and working as part of a supportive team.
The Role
As a vital part of the transport team, you’ll be responsible for delivering civils and drainage products to customers across Broxburn and the surrounding areas. This is a customer-facing role where professionalism and high service standards are key.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Safe and efficient operation of a Class 2 vehicle with HIAB
2. Accurate, on-time delivery of goods
3. Planning efficient routes to meet daily schedules
4. Ensuring compliance with drivers’ hours, tachograph rules, and transport legislation
5. Following all health & safety procedures
6. Representing the business professionally at delivery points and providing excellent customer service
Candidate Requirements
7. Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
8. HIAB certification (essential)
9. Valid Driver CPC and digital tachograph card
10. Minimum 1 year Class 2 driving experience
11. Strong understanding of health & safety practices
12. Good knowledge of drivers’ hours and transport regulations
13. Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach
14. Willingness to learn and support wider operational needs
Desirable
15. FLT (Forklift Truck) experience
