Role overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic Sales Assistant to play a vital role in delivering an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. This position offers the opportunity for career development and progression within JD Group.
Responsibilities
* Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly, ensuring a best‑in‑class experience, and applying the customer service measurement programme.
* Drive and exceed sales targets using in‑store devices, offering the full product range, and maximizing add‑on sales opportunities.
* Maintain high visual and merchandising standards by keeping the shop floor clean, well‑stocked, and displays organised according to brand guidelines.
* Support overall store operations by assisting in other departments as needed, representing the company professionally, and adhering to safety guidelines.
* Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling and card payments.
* Upsell and cross‑sell products to maximise sales opportunities.
* Maintain stock levels on the shop floor and ensure shelves are well‑organized and appealing.
* Address and resolve customer queries in a professional manner.
* Collaborate with other sales assistants and team members to achieve store targets.
Role objectives & KPIs
* Contribute to achieving or exceeding the store’s monthly sales target.
* Drive all additional KPIs including Units, Conversion, ATV, UPT.
* Attain upselling or cross‑selling targets.
* Maintain a high Net Promoter Score.
* Ensure all stock on the shop floor is fully replenished.
Skills and Experience
A positive attitude toward a fast‑paced, customer‑focused retail environment; an ability to view challenges as development opportunities; confident interpersonal and communication skills; flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
