Job Title : Patient Care Assistant Village Vet in Cambridgshire are excited to announce they are recruiting for a Patient Care Assistant to join theri team. This is a permanent full-time position. 42hrs/week, 1 week of 6am-2pm and 1 week 2pm-10pm (alternating) 1 in 6 weekends at Milton (3 days TOIL allocated for weekends) 1 x Bank holiday/year The role of a Patient Care Assistant is to support the nursing and wider practice team in achieving the highest standards of care. The Patient Care Assistant role will involve working in a variety of areas within the practice to support the team. It will be necessary to accept instruction from Management, Veterinary Surgeons and Registered Veterinary Nurses. Working enthusiastically within the team you will help maintain a happy, efficient and effective working environment. Duties will also include, but are not limited to: Cleaning, disinfection and preparation of patient accommodation. Actively maintain the hospital and follow infection control procedures. This will include sterilising and deep cleaning among other duties. Assist with reception and client care, including answering the telephone, dealing with enquiries, booking procedures and taking payments. Assist Veterinary Surgeons, Veterinary Nurses, and support staff where and when required. Work and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients. Demonstrate the ability to be reliable, adaptable, understanding and empathetic.
