What You'll Do:
1. Provide on-site coordination and supervision for all phases of construction projects within the electrical scope of work.
2. Read and comprehend building plans to effectively supervise the building of electrical systems that are mechanically excellent, of the highest workmanship, aesthetically pleasing, and optimally functional.
3. Identify and communicate to Project Manager any conflicts between contract documents. Work with Project Managers to identify and execute solutions.
4. Lead, motivate, and manage multiple teams of field personnel in their daily activities to achieve and exceed both project-specific and overall company goals and objectives.
5. Manage daily activities of electrical field personnel, including communicating and enforcing company performance and safety requirements, evaluating performance, documenting all field personnel issues, reporting and managing all field incidents, accidents, and exceptions, and effectively communicating all matters pertaining to field activities to Supervisors and Project Managers.
6. Lead multiple teams to successfully achieve all budget, schedule, and construction objectives for electrical projects, including maintaining construction schedules, installing, inspecting, and testing electrical components.
7. Assess, manage, document, and communicate field conditions and activities to achieve budget and schedule objectives, including providing timely and accurate manpower projections, projecting material needs, submitting material requests, and managing materials delivered to the job site.
8. Manage and ensure field teams assess, manage, request, and track tools and equipment necessary for the execution of the work, including projecting needs, scheduling delivery, and returning tools and equipment in a timely manner.
9. Supervise and ensure field teams assemble, organize, submit, and maintain job site documentation, including packing slips for materials and equipment delivered, freight bills, accurate 'As Built' drawings, and operational paperwork for O&M closeout packages.
10. Assist when requested to interface with inspectors and clients to ensure all project close-out objectives are met.
11. Prepare and issue accurate, detailed, and prompt reports, including Daily Reports, Weekly Reports, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Master Weekly Report, and tailgate meetings.
What You'll Bring:
* 6+ years of experience working in electrical installations, including underground and overhead conduits, trenching, backfilling, concrete installation, and solar installations.
* Bachelor's degree in construction management or civil engineering.
* Maintain a valid Driver's License and a good driving record.
* Knowledge of Electrical Code (NEC), Uniform Building Code (UBC), local & utility jurisdiction requirements, and OSHA regulations. Journeyman Electrician certification or NABCEP certification.
* Certified in OSHA 30.
* Ability to determine work priorities and review work for quality and production standards.
* Highly motivated, adaptable, detail-oriented, flexible, and able to work both with a team and independently.
* Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
* Proficient in multi-tasking, problem-solving, and effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Good driving record and valid Driver's License.
Physical Demands:
* Must be able to work in a physical environment with full mobility in upper and lower body.
* Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
* Must regularly lift and/or move greater than 50 pounds with or without assistance.
Working Conditions:
* Exposure to high, precarious places; climbing ladders; walking on roofs; outside weather conditions; vibration; confined spaces like attics and crawl spaces.
* Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, toxic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock.
* Moderate noise levels.
Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
